Strauss, Inc.
This full-time position will split their hours between departments processing the weekly payroll for Human Resources as well as supporting the Finance Department.
You must be flexible with working some evenings based on the assigned tasks to conduct orientations and assist with company meetings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Financial Duties/Tasks Process business unit daily sales transaction paperwork including verification of hotel vouchers and bus bill transactions Perform cashier duties including bank deposits and change orders, counting business unit cash drops and verifying cash on hand in company safes at specified intervals Process direct bill account invoices Assist Controller with month end and end of year close duties Monitor Accounts Receivable, send monthly statements and follow up with business unit managers for past due accounts Perform other accounting duties as assigned Human Resource Duties/Tasks Prepare weekly payroll and distribute paper checks to business units Enter new hires in payroll system and portals Assist with the preparation of payroll reports for governmental requirements and analysis of labor costs File Workers' Compensation Claims for business units Maintain all employee personnel files Conduct new hire employee orientations Process criminal background checks with agency and report any adverse findings to business unit managers Provide assistance with maintaining Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and refreshing job postings Provide assistance with annual open enrollment for benefits Provide assistance with quarterly 401(k) enrollments and annual audit Provide assistance as needed with drafting policy and procedures Perform other human resource duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Ability to communicate effectively with internal/external customers Payroll processing experience required General accounting knowledge required Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment 10 key adding machine skills High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) Excellent writing skills and mathematical aptitude Solid organization skills Ability to work independently and meet assigned due dates Detail oriented Efficient typing skills Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
